To the people who are crapping on this idea, have you ever tried to put out a nasty plasma fire? Like, ever? A single can of plasma in the escape arm makes it a no go zone even with a firesuit because all you can do is poke ineffectively at the edges with a fire extinguisher.

Firesuits are meant for rescue and working near hot plasma. Even the most fire resistant of suits wouldn't last very long in a raging firestorm.

Yeah, putting on a firesuit irl doesn't mean you can start swimming in lava. It's meant to insulate you from heat and protect your from burns, but not for extended periods of time.
