Complaint Whoever is replacing the char-word with "Blorbo", Forums, August 17, 2025

Date + time: August 17, unknown time.
Synopsis: Some time earlier today, the word "character" ("a person, especially with reference to behavior or personality") was quietly filtered to be replaced with the word "Blorbo" on the Goonstation Forums. I have seen it affecting posts from as early as 2022. I wrote a report over discord regarding this, and it was resolved quickly.

Extra information: This change personally made me enjoy using the forums less, especially as it happened without warning or explanation. I know it was meant as a joke, but it was honestly more annoying than funny. In the future I would like it if the forums were not messed with in this way, as while your intentions were likely playful they did not come across as such.
Whoever responded to my report was very quick and to-the-point, and I would like to commend them.

I was the one that did it. A bit of explanation: I was going through settings to see if I could figure out why certain avatars stopped displaying and if I could figure out a fix (Didn't find one) and noticed the option for word filters. "Oh neat" I thought, and decided it would be fun to add that one and see how long (Not very!) it took until it was noticed going to go ahead and remove it after this post. As a fun aside, there is another "word" that gets filtered that was already in place which I'm leaving intact, since I didn't set that one. See if you can guess what it is!
