Syndicate Outpost Camera Jammer for Syndicate Cyborg?
#1
Recent round, I notice that if syndicate brought a syndie cyborg with them listening outpost, you will be able to see the inside of syndicate outpost as AI. I feel it is a bit not thematic to the outpost and considering syndie cyborgs has access to it on them, I just find it odd for them to be able to reveal the syndicate ~super not noticeable at all~ listening outpost.

I don't really understand,
so Non-Syndicate Cyborgs get Jammed (How would that even work) when trying to enter the Listening Outpost?

As I hear out of your story, or rather not, that there seems to be some sort of espionage from the AI into the Listening Outpost?

That should be an A-Help then, I never had any situation like this.

why just not give syndicate borgs a command to turn off their camera when they want to? Seems easier than adding elaborate anti-measures for some niche interaction.

I was AI of that round. I do not intentionally espionage the outpost, but it was more of by mechanic syndicate cyborg can reveal antagonist in listening outpost by regular observing. But if a roboticist with syndicate cyborgs that they build through traitor item, and brought their own cyborgs to their own outpost, you can see the inside of listening outpost because the camera of syndicate borgs are connected to the AI directly.

I add in this suggestion because I bug reported the situation and apparently it is not a "bug" for AI to see through syndicate borgs. Purpose of this post is just to suggest an easier way for antagonist to hide in outpost without AI being able to locate them through regular tracking because how syndieborgs are tied to AI camera system.

it's something that is rough to balance around. if you can't see through syndicate borgs, and the AI notices, you get immediately outed as a syndicate borg. maybe that's fine? Maybe there could be more ways for cyborgs to lose cameras?

What if when you have a cyborgs panels open, you can like cut a wire that disconnects its internal camera. So its not a 100% sign. could even make taking heavy damage/ion storms mess with the ability for AIs to see through their borgs? I am unsure on how you could make it be, but i think my idea would be best if the borgs can't do it on their own.

I like this because it can also apply to critter bots such as janitor bots you hire to clean up your evil conversion chamber room.

borgs under radiation interference could have a smaller / no camera to the AI, making cerenkite / erebite a viable strategy for masking a cyborg in maints or whatnot
