Description: Guardbuddy is one of mechanic in science department
Which potential useful/harmful depend on who use.
The problem is Guardbuddy need 2 thing before use
-Super user
-DWAINE knowledge
With above condition will limit player to interact with it.
And use many step before can turn on this thing.
This idea will add machine that help player can control it easier.
Explain mechanic inside
Like other console you can build by use gaurdbuddy console main board
The console will show UI interface window which show
- all Guardbuddy and it location in list
-click in each list will able to show branch of command (recall / patrol / Guard / cheer )
-After that you click on command and add name/show name list to work with
From above it will short down step and use save time alot for using gaurdbuddy
Note* Syndicate agent can EMAG to open antagonist panel.( Purge / Lethal / Heckle )

Maybe a bit of a hot take, but I actually like this idea. Having some more simplified way to manage the GuardBuddies would probably get people to interact with them more and actually use them for things. I know that with more power comes more complexity, so this may also make GuardBuddies OP, but frankly I'd rather have to deal with more buddies than never see them unless they're being used by some random person with enough DWAINE skills to blow up the station anyways.

imo: keep DWAINE/ThinkDOS systems for very fine and powerful control over systems, with dedicated consoles for simpler control that can unfuck the nerdy shit people do. buddies should def be put into robo control console, with commands to deploy (patrol) and recall them all - but leaving guard and purge and etc. to prman

the best introduction to dwaine is guardbuddy stuff because of how ridiculously easy it is. This would ruin that, making dwaine LESS approachable and making guardbuddies less interesting. literally just copy-paste like four lines of text from the wiki, stirstir could do it.

Yes it easy from my opinion but compare to incidence who interact with it is too less. Even with lethal script or Radio message . The point of idea is make it easier to use for increase interact.

Personally I do not like DWAINE or Think-DOS due to how slow and clunky it is.
I do not think it is bad. It's approach is fun and can be used in many ways. But... there are alternatives that are better then those.
Eitherway I think having a simplified console is nice. It's an ALTERNATIVE.
Let's say the buddies can preform simple tasks only on this console like: "Check this place here"
It's something simple as that, that makes it easy to use and gives them more functions.
But something like "assigning a guardbuddy" as a buddyguard. That's dwaine only.
Ironically if you need more people to teach themselves DWAINE. Just give the robobuddies to robotics (this again) since they have a lot of time to burn over scientists that can do something else.
