Changes to synthorgans/limbs/whatever
#1
As they are in the game, most synthorgans are basically one-to-one copies of stock human organs, excluding the lungs. This aims to make them functionally different. Technically superior, but mostly just different in how they function, for fun! Kinda like how cyberorgans don't just have better stats, they also have unique functions.

For starters, synthhearts would give you a small boost to stamina regen in strong light

Syntharms can interact with dangerous plants without harm (nettles, etc), and synthlegs can withstand stepping on (plasma)glass shards much better than human ones.

Syntheyes have better resistance to flashbangs and unshielded welding, but not total immunity. Looking at strong lights can heal them.

Synthbutts fart out oxygen instead regular fart gas. Cool, except the output is the same as a buttbot.

Synthlungs are cool as-is, though maybe can also resist damage from cigs and joints a little better

Synthstomachs prevent you from being harmed by ant-covered food or developing food poisoning

Synthspleens would turn your blood a green shade and give it chlorophyll-esque properties, which act identical to compost when fed to plants. Regen blood faster in strong light

Synthlivers reduce the effect of drunkedness, and give you a small stamina buff while you're drunk.

Synthappendixes can put your body in a sort of stasis, letting you slowly and gradually recover from crit if you're near light. After doing this, it will expend itself and wilt for a decent chunk of time, before blooming within you once more.

Synthpancreata can burn through excess bloodstream sugar to pep you up for a couple of minutes, but take damage when doing so.

Synthkidneys will remove healing chems more slowly than other chems, allowing you a better window in medbay

Synthintestines derive more buffs and direct healing from produce than other foods. For example, eating raw carrots, apples, onions, garlic cloves, etc will grant better buffs than before, and bypass the low health threshold that prevents you from healing from food.

Synthbrains can merge with your brain and allow you to understand plant stats more easily, as well as become more adept at recognizing reagents when not using a scanner.

Synthorgans have two thresholds of death. The first is that they wither and wilt when taking too much damage, which essentially causes the same effect as respective organ failure. Over time, they automatically recover, which can be sped up by having compost in your system. If they get damaged beyond that, then they just straight-up die, and have to be replaced. They are also extremely vulnerable to herbicide chems such as atrazine, to the point where chugging a bunch of atrazine will not only poison you, but quickly shut down all of your synthorgans as well. They are also more vulnerable having acidic and incendiary reagents in your body, and have an awkward latency with how they process damage, making diagnosis at medbay more difficult.

All in all, I hope this rough idea is interesting! It's probably riddled with issues, but this is only a rough idea at the end of the day.

Synth arms and legs already have a bonus over normal and robot arms. You can just reattach them if they come off.

To add onto what Kiki said the organs actually have more base health (or less) depending on how they are grown and their quality. Making them slightly better then regular organs with no drawbacks.... however I would still like to see this stuff implemented because I like the idea of organs that are more powerful in the presence of light but weaker without

I once proposed for synth eyes to become plant scanning eyes.
