Right now Grinch murder is a 1-shot pretty much guaranteed kill against whoever you want, with the only con being you get ousted. My idea for how to not just outright remove this while making it more fun/balanced would be linking what murder does/how powerful it is with the level of spacemas cheer. This would encourage the grinch to actively lower cheer, and crew to raise it as well!
Idea 1: Instead of just removing the organ, it would instead deal organ damage to the heart, being enough to instantly kill it at 0% cheer. Organ damage could also spread to other organs the more into the negatives cheer is.
Idea 2: Cheer gives a delay before the heart gets shrinked, allowing time for said victim to medical treatment and not instantly dying.
Idea 3: Make it deal some other form of toxin damage or poisoning people with a threshold before it becomes closer to the current instakill levels of murder.
I think this idea could also be extended to other abilities like poison and cloaking, where at higher levels grinches have to be secretive and focus more on lowering cheer, while at lower cheer levels they get a sort of snowball effect most other antags get in some form!
