It's a desperate way to get something for free and will probably end in more vending machine injuries.

Using the crystal ball in your hand should have a chance for the ball spit out the most recent thing said on the station. So if someone rushes the crystal ball and uses it, there's a chance they might hear something like

'Donk-Tech Operative says, "You asshole, don't take all the rockets!"'

But more than likely it'll just say "Ask again later" or something stupid like "Joe McPubby defiles the station's air supply!"
