I think multi-tool arms would be neat if you could make activating an empty hand provide a borg-style tool popup. You could code a single modular arm and then mix and match arm replacements.

As a matter of fact, simply Deus Ex-ing the whole system and giving humans limited, food-oriented bio-power to use augmentations would provide a nice means of improving demand for food and limiting said tools' usage.
