Ooh, I like the underwater plants idea, and we could still do a plant tray sort of thing

Plant tanks!

Underwater plants could go into these plant tanks filled with water and specially designed to allow for adding solutions into the water for the plant to absorb and to allow for harvesting of plants! Could possibly be smashed open to spill the water and destroy the plant (and tank) with it possible to be repaired with like glass and stuff.
