2 AM idea, mostly copy pasted from Discord:
I always thought it'd be cool if we had a rare random event where 2-5 people become antagonists with a set objective.
Like, not as a round start antagonist, but as a mid-round only antagonist. (Probably only in mixed/traitor game modes?)
Maybe they'd get a message booming in their minds like "You have awakened to your true purpose! Bring forth the rise of (randomized god name) by doing (objective)! Your fellow cultists are X, Y, an Z!"
The niche that it'd fill would be having to worry about people becoming antagonists with no prior interaction with others.
Perhaps it could respect your antag choices in your job preferences? (Be eligable for mid-round antagonist? Y/N)
Possible counter argument: People don't generally follow objectives on Goonstation, so this would need to take that into account.
