Oh fuck there's a power sink/the power is absolutely screwed, but you need to talk to the AI. No problem! We all learned potatos can produce power in school, so why not hook the AI's brain to one with some wires? To create, stick the wires into the potato and click the resulting construction with a neural net processor. To deconstruct, just use a scissors to cut the wires.
This would make the AI be alive, but all it could do is talk locally (because the potato doesn't give it any more power than that).

I love the idea of sticking borg brains in potatoes, and a lot of people have coded patches for it, but I believe the idea isn't original enough for the coders/admins to actually implement it, but I don't feel like fruit and vegetable power should be overlooked. For instance, citrus and pickled food can produce power irl. Plus, the more non-obsolete content botany has, the better
