Major Vendors fall over too easily

I swore I already saw a thread on this happening with either the kitchen food vendor or valuchimp but absolutely cannot locate it, so maybe I dreamt it.
It seems the aforementioned vendor, in addition to the mechcomp and security vendors will fall over on you after a single smack, rendering them useless.
