If you are a ghostman who goes into ghostVR, you can engage the microphone of an Intercom, then if you use the Whisper verb on an adjacent tile, you will broadcast over the Intercom frequency. 

Presumably whispering in VR in general is audible to the living in VR. 
Guess whisper bypasses the deadchat. ???
