Unofficial radio hosts have no way of monitoring the station to report on the news. I've gone as far as ripping apart the unused security camera panel in the hangar to rebuild on the radio station, just so I can see stuff.

EDIT: For clarification, the actual radio host gimmick job DOES spawn with one.
