As far as I'm aware, the radiation event is completely RNG based.

Is maint immute to these ones too ?
Also at least it should give a warning a bit before it happens as it seems like sometimes you can get hit by it as soon as the "warning" appears.

Pretty sure Hanson is right about the radblasts being completely RNG.
I've never experienced get rads from the warning phase either. Were you maybe lagging?

I've gone whole events without seeing a single rad burst.
Haprenti: It probably wouldn't help. As long as you exit the green are before the sound effect goes off you wont be affected. I've only been hit once or twice in months and I'm pretty sure that was due to retarded movement.

It's totally random. The game makes a list of floor locations at the start of the round and then picks randomly from those every time it makes a burst. You're just unlucky.
