With the loss of construction cyborgs there's no longer a module capable of sealing up patches in any form.

Please give the basic engineering cyborg some basic metal sheets and floor tiles to help it fill the void

I hope this is by design, if only for the engineers.

Incidentally, researching the metal sheets meant maxing out the 'metals' category, which levels painfully slowly and required dumping in more miscellaneous tools and metals than it would have to fix the damn breach manually. It consumed the entire round of research, took up most of the module space, leaving practically none for basic tools, and was completely useless when researched.
