Colouring in a paper mask before putting in the cable

Adding colour to a paper mask and THEN putting in the cable causes the sprite to reset back to white, and further colouring in doesn't do anything.

Actually, I managed to use a normal pen on a mask. Not sure if the markers won't allow it, though.

I tested this with a red marker.
