Some people have insanely cool, expansive, and sometimes ridiculous (in a good way) backstories that can captivate your attention for entire shifts. 
What's even funnier is that every character is now working a station shift for mid-tier pay often at the expense of their own sanity, like an intergalactic pirate scrubbing the floor at a McDonald's. 

What are some of your craziest character backstories or stories that predate the station (i.e aren't actual things that happened in game), and how do they tie into your character as they are now, working at Nanotrasen? Double points if it's completely arbitrary, because honestly why not?

Tooty's backstory was that it was a fungal growth that infected some janitors brain and took over the body. The Janitor used to work at the Clown College and with all the memories of Clowns, Tooty was convinced it was a clown.
