Usual character name: horiam bell, disappointment (AI)
BYOND username: Laboredih123
Discord username (if you are on our discord): laboredih123, cringe (nick)
Recommended by (if applicable): none
Goon servers you play: Goonstation 1 Classic: Heisenbee

Reason for application + game experience (300 word minimum):
it is now 5 years since i joined on jan 8th 2021, time for the first of the quinquennial mentor apps.
i really really really like ss13, and i also i really like to help. mostly niche nerd shit. like atmos and stuff.
helped a lot of people in the discord, and helped when could in server.
i've spent all my time in classic, and thus am in most familiar in that server, and want to bring as many newbees to it.
mentor also lets me help people with nerd shit directly where they can use the knowledge the quickest, when i am not inside a game.

experience:

engineering:
favourite job: engineer
i really really like engineering. prolly half of my hours are as engineer. its very nerdy, and is where i started out in.
i can set up every engine and do a decent setup. i can make a nice nuclear engine that makes EVERYTHING green :3, a decently strong bigulo, stack and mine some hotspots, and run a nice chamberburn. with enough time i can fix any damage to the station.
i know how each engine works internally, and can optimise for it. i know how to use mechcomp, and understand somewhat how packets work.

cargo and mining.
im not really experienced in making bank for cargo, but i can buy stuff.
im decent at mining, i can mine the ores, make good tools, sell the ores, know what ores are good, and repeat the loop.

security:
i have very little experience in this, and is one of my never jobs. i do know how shoot a gun and arrest someone, but since ive played this job so little, that pretty much represents the majority of my knowledge.

research:
im decent at toxins and making bombs. i don't have too much experience in artifacts, but i can research em. i can make a meth factory in chemistry, so i'm good there.

civilian:
also one of my less played areas. i can grow weed in botany, but i don't know very many tips and tricks. chef and bartender are jobs i've hardly played, so i don't know much. pretty much never played chaplain.

medical:
a pretty well played job, i can keep someone alive and heal them using various chemicals. i know how to handle robotics, do surgery, and usually don't explode my patient. i can also run genetics.

silicon:
i play a decent amount of ai and can use my tools pretty well to assist humans. im also a good engiborg and ok mediborg, haven't really used the other borgs though.

command:
i can use the tools like id identification, bankboss, commaster, and all that, but not much experience in handling the roles directing subordinates, other than chief engineer, which is the command role i play the most.

antagonists:
i don't get antag enough to have enough experience in this! :wahhhhhh:
nonetheless, i can be evil with my engine. i mostly do indirect evil, working in the background to spread chaos instead of directly krilling people (definitely not due to my severe unrobustness).

ghostdrone:
ghostdrone lyfe 4 ever. #1 player. plate every maintenaince tile, let there be light. no breaches. none can compare to me.

conclusion:
anyway, goon is the only server i play, and has been an exquisite part of my life. i yearn to show others its epicness.

Previous bans (while this will not affect your application lying about it will):
only false autobans, no ban medal!

complementary adventure_1.xm utau cover coming Soon:tm: (definitely not a bribe)

though I haven't played that much in the past year, I have to comment because cringe has always been a go-to point of knowledge on a lot of topics for me. they know how most things work, and theyve always been willing to stop and explain how something works/help figure out how to make something work. based on my experiences they would make a great mentor. also they made a lot of stuff that people probably ask about sometime so they're be a great source of information on those topics LOL

Laboredih123 knows a lot about this game (especially in technical areas which from my experience the mentor team usually lacks in) and has never been not friendly from what I've seen, so there's no reason why I think they shouldn't be a mentor, you have a positive vote from me

honestly surprised it took you this long to make an app, you'd be a fantastic addition to the mentor team

Cringe seems very knowledgeable in atomos, something I don't see much in the mentor team, and it would probably be a great addition. +1

Cringe is a constant source of wisdom in some of the more complicated sides of engineering, and is always willing to share the things they know. Can't think of any reasons why they wouldn't be a great mentor.
