Remove bank pins from the game
#1
Remove bank pins, anything that needs a card to be scanned will automatically check the card of the user who interacts with them.

Reasons
1. Massive qol, you can interact with vending machines much faster.
2. More fun for antags, allows you to quickly nab some nerds id and buy whatever you need.
3. Easier for new players to understand. Clicking on the machine is a lot simpler than having to scan id and enter pin.

As little use as your bank account has, it still has a use. If Traitor Mcantag steals your ID and goes on a spending spree, you now have limited options in buying things you may otherwise need, such as medical supplies from the local vending machines. If you want to take that away from the local staffie you should put in a bit more effort.

Also the game enters your pin for you. You use the card, click "ok" and you're bank account is now accessible. I'm not sure how unintuitive or slow that is.

Yeah, that is a very bad idea, especially considering a few things:

If you got the PIN, you can forge a card with the persons name (any identification computer, agent ID) and can access their Bank account

The PIN is the important part of the banking system, not the ID. That's why that integral part should not be removed.

New suggestion. The game enters the PIN for you if it's known to you. Great! Let's apply the QoL, and skip that extra "OK" button press.

Introduce a new variable on an ID card that tracks if the PIN has been entered once already this round. If yes, skip any extra checks until it resets (subject to discussion). With this, it allows players to quickly and repeatedly use their ID without hassle, just like in real life. And it also allows antags to steal IDs that have been used and be able to use them for vendors until it asks for a PIN again. This would make any would-be thieves more likely to attempt thefts around vending machines, since those would have had their PIN entered.

Honestly I like this idea, it punishes people more for losing their ID l. And gives security a good reason to confiscate stolen IDs

If you can access an ID computer, you can also access a banking computer
