I find one of the main advantages of ThinkDOS to be it's speed. I use it frequently as Sec to update records, which once you've done it enough can be broken down into a few steps.
Which got me to thinking about PDA touch based interface.
My line of thinking we could speed up a lot of the PDAs functionality by including a text field in it's window, and building in text commands.
For instance, since all PDAs have several common features like messaging and emergency calling, we could put in text shortcuts to launch them, or even preform actions

Some examples:
- Typing numbers like "1" or "2" to launch programs like messages or notes
- Typing sequences like "911" to call an emergency or message a pda group like security
- Sending quick messages by using special characters like "@AI Open door"
- A text field for packet work.
