Capsule Opening Change

I've been burning through hundreds of figurines in a craze but it bothers me that pressing C doesn't remove the figurine from the capsule. It only removes a portion of the capsule to show the same generic face of a figurine that probably isn't on the inside, so it's not a super good way of checking what's inside. Is there a way we can press C and drop the capsule shell on the floor while the figurine stays in hand? This would make figurine unwrapping much less of a chore by removing a lot of clicking.

Edit: Or maybe it could be like unwrapping presents and the capsule half disappears forever. It could spare us some lag that way.
