Anytime you try to attempt it, the support beam comes down and knocks you out, killing you instantly.

I don't know why but this idea has been floating around my head and refuses to leave me alone until I post this!

I approve. Add a rod to the ground near you whenever it happens as well so that it can be seen as the support beam.

Since there's no actual hanging and ends in another comedic death, it shouldn't be too bad. I haven't had to deal with suicide though so I can't really say.
