When a gun is thrown at something, it should have a chance to fire in a random direction. Occasionally, a gun slapped out of someone's hand should also go off, possibly at a random target.
The recoil from firing would send the gun flying, which would give it a chance to go off again, potentially emptying the entire magazine in a hail of whoopsies.
Attaching a signaller assembly to a gun (or to a borg arm *then* to the gun) would allow you to fire it remotely, even if someone else is holding it.
