Applying silicate to a large window causes it to turn invisible.

Yeah, in the code it has this comment: // Silicate was broken. I fixed it (Convair880).
Who knows how long ago that was added though.

It's kinda déja vu but iirc the old silicate would just bring the glass under the grate rather than making it actually invisible.

Yeah, it's definitely turning the windows completely invisible.

It's good for freaking people out, but it also makes window barriers nearly impossible to remove without bombs or guns.
