alternative captain's hat doesn't count to crew objective

I was on the shuttle at the end of the round as a captain wearing the piratey hat you get inside the captain's clothing box and when I reached cent. comm, the "don't lose your hat" objective was considered failed. It's a shame really. It's just as nice as the other hat, and demands authority.
