Janitor item: Vacuum Cleaner
#1
Tired of seeing messes around your station, but don't want to mop or bring out the buffer?
Sick of having people chase you for mopping floors?
A vacuum cleaner will solve that. A Janitorial equivalent to the ore scoop, equipping a vacuum cleaner (found in janitorial closets) with a free hand and turning it on will allow it to suck up debris, small items, or space vermin until it becomes full. Vacuum up those gibs left by the fedora-tipping immortal! Hoover up that misplaced clown mask! Accidentally vacuum that syndicate's c-saber! Irritate the crew with the constant noise and missing items caused by your anal-retentive vacuuming until they throw a wrench (literally) in the works and cause your vacuum to disgorge its contents all over the place! Repair that vacuum with some wire and emag it so it sucks up some jerk! Get shoved into your own vacuum by angry crewmembers! Regret your life choices as your vacuum gets spaced with you inside the vacuum bag!
Fun for the whole station!

Condensed version: A janitor tool that cleans up handheld items as it moves over them - can be emagged to work like a low capacity, portable clown car. Possibly more infuriating than the buffer.

It would need a switch to toggle between SUCK and BLOW, blow allowing it to fire items rapidly a la Rock-it Launcher.

That emag thing is gonna get shot down immediately.

But ya, just give the janitor a thing similar to the mineral vacuum or whatever the hell they have now. It can only pick up small items like glass shards, pens, paper, etc. Traditionally those are the things that are just lying all over the place.

yea dont let it be emagged, just give the janitor a traitor version of it to purchase with telecrystals like the traitor version of the chainsaw.

Make it work in conjunction with the trashcarts. it should only be able to pick up items that fit in bags. you suck up items which automatically get transferred into the trashcart. the traitor trashcart should come with a hoover that look different upon examination and is able to suck up people on the floor.

The Vaccum should also be able to kill/trap ghosts/wraith when used in the same area as one

Yes yes! I made a thread about something like this before. There needs to be a better way to pick up a ton of trash items like glass and paper.

Solid suggestion, would balance this out a significantly.

Hilariously, TGcode janitors were more enjoyable to play as because two gimmick items they had: An automatic lightbulb remover/replacer (now functionally replicated by a one click lightbulb swap), and trashbags to click-drag debris. This is a good thing.
