Workbench Questions

I know tripods are supposed to be used for things like gun turrets or something, but what do coils do???

They don't combine with tripods, which throws out my tesla coil theory (which I was gonna suggest in the suggestion forums as a good use for coils, but anyway)

What are the big and small coils for? Slinkees? Electromagnets?

There's stuff in the workbench you can make but there's no documentation or anything on how to use them.

I think gears are used in pods but I dunno.

I'm not sure if you guys can share anything, but my curiosity is peaked.

Everything about the smelter and the workbench and the weird research console is super WiP as far as I know.

It would be nice if the coder who is working on it could confirm this.

I am thinking the coils could attach to one rod for a lever, then a piece of cable to the other to make a clockwork trigger mechanism.

Then, when blobs show up, we can make Gatling Phasers!
