Space glue: Temporarily affixes the cursed status to an item. Duration of the curse is determined by the amount of glue used on the object. Has no effect when poured onto floors. Try it with a basketball!

Try it with a basketball! Wouldn't pouring a large amount on a floor, stick a person shoes to it, and they would be stuck there till, the glue wears off, or they take there shoes off, leaving them stuck to the floor.

It would like having A clown with out the power to honk. It wouldn't be using something to it's Full Potential . Here we have a regnant that could be a game changer, and yet you don't want it to be used for everything it could be used for.

Pouring glue on the floor however, should give you a bunch of angry messages saying "You feel your shoe momentarily sticking to the floor, how annoying."
Has anyone ever gotten gum, glue, cotton candy, sugar, or some other annoying and mildly sticky substance on your shoe and had that irritating feeling while walking?

Space glue should at worst mildy slow you down and leave some rude messages about how sticky the floor feels.
Maybe it shouldn't be created in chemistry, instead it should come standard in office supplies, and maybe be used for some random things. Gluing pieces of paper together to make a crappy book. Use it with scissors and glitter to do arts and crafts. Glue items that need to be glued (like if wood finds more uses, discount dans bonding agent could also be used as wood glue that takes a while to dry) Staplers are already kinda annoying in the wrong hands but once the wrong hands got bored with staplers they aren't really a problem. I say we take the same approach to glue, which could be completely useful for keeping the clown distracted and perhaps sniffing. Old Man Drugaddict sniffs the glue bottle but it was empty. Old man drugaddict sniffs the glue bottle and feels a slight high.

Have glue just give you the sticky floor messages and slow you to walking speed. It'd be a good way to create a mandatory "slow down" area, and it could be dispersed with water/space cleaner so a janitor has more to do.
But add Superglue+Solvent as a traitor item.

The main reason why space glue shouldn't stick you to the floor is the same reason why bucklecuffing was weakened, (if not outright removed?)
What on EARTH would merit a reagent that does just that with just a balloon toss or a beaker spill?

but space lube already exists as a terrible floor thing that people can use to be jerks.
As does water. Remove a wall or add a teleporter and space lube turns a huge annoyance into a weapon that can easily kill somebody depending on the room. In fact I'm pretty sure people used to space each other with it.

We have space lube. Nobody cares much about it despite how terrible it can be when used right. I see no reason not to let excess amounts of space glue slow people down when on the floor for a short amount of time. Plus, you could just make it harden after a certain amount of time and lose its sticky/slowing effects while leaving the glue, I know that change of state is already in the code from poo. I'd love to splash down temporary slowing patches to help catch up to people to steal their shoes.

It was more of in response to Aparthied.
Because why complain about glue foam sticking everybody when you can already be a huge total jerk with space lube and no one cares. Space lube is like the exact opposite and already exists. I see no reason why a mildly annoying glue couldn't exist on the station along with a stronger jerk glue. |
