If you have a cardlocked crate (a chemistry resupply crate is the one I saw this done with) you can mouse-drag it onto a recycling manufacturer, and it'll load everything in it, bypassing the lock entirely.
Recyclers can load things out of locked crates

First off, thank you for writing this, I have been meaning to get to it for several weeks, but apathy took hold. Secondly, it very much does seem to work with all crates be it card-locked, abandoned, or even welded.
