i guess now that we have the arc smelter to make funky alloys we could make our own custom fuel rods with their own different properties? it would be cool if we brought back and finished that old half-baked nuclear reactor

i mean obviously youd need it to be a radioactive alloy so some kind of cerenkite-xx alloy or just straight up cerenkite but maybe new ores could get added? i dunno

also maybe we could augment the current engine by having it break down by operating at completely freakin stupid levels and replace broken stuff by manufacturing custom engine components with alloys that affect the engine's longevity and efficiency?

Perhaps this could be used with the rumored particle accelerator in the next map. Make an exploding metal brick that gives you a lot of power for it's bang.
