this is the first time that i've put forward admin feedback, so please let me know if i'm unintentionally doing something wrong here, and/or missing something in my complaint.

i would like to clarify that i'm not upset about this--it's just that i'm moreso confused about it, especially considering that this is the first time that any of the admins on goon1 (the noRP/lowRP server which i frequent) has approached me about it, especially when there's other players with considerably more absurd character names than "space station 13 cow level", like a user who has a character that's name is a quote from the skit "inward singing" by tenacious d, as an example for people i've seen ON goon1.

to provide context, space station 13 cow level is one of the characters that i play. the joke is that she's a cowperson with a name that it's a deliberate reference to the secret cow level from diablo 2, an infamous easter egg-gaming injoke.





while i've renamed space station 13 cow level to "cow tools", after the infamous far side comic strip--after kyle approached me about it, i'm just confused considering this happened on goon1. it'd be completely understandable if this happened on goon3 or goon4, but this just strikes me as being weird, especially when no other admin has approached me about space station 13 cow level's name up until today.

First, even though you didn't mention it, let me apologize for being rude and coming in so aggressive. I was more trying to sound conversational and somewhat exasperated, not mean or condescending. But when rereading it now, it does sound rude, so I apologize.

Now, regarding what you really asked about. To start, I'd cite our new(-ish) rule from a couple months ago: Rule 13 (Don't clog up the chat with low effort memes) as naming yourself "Space Station 13 Cow Level" is repeated in chat every time you say or do anything that appears there. But also that I didn't perceive it as a reasonable name. But I didn't write a note for that, simply told you to change it.

As for the other player you're referencing with a similarly styled name, if I saw it, I'd probably tell them to change such a name too, but it's admittedly not a high priority. You're right that this isn't typically enforced or commented on, and I can appreciate wanting consistency if nothing else. But actively policing names all the time would be a pain, and very difficult to do programmatically. It's true that it was by happenstance that noticed your character's name, but when I saw it, told you to change it.
