It'd be cool for tape recorders or maybe some radios to be able to record sounds like gunshots, honks, or screams, similarly to how it's done in azone tapes with asterisks or brackets. It'd add some more context to recordings, but I don't know how hard it'd be to code.
Let me know what you think!

No, not just traitors. Anyone with a tape recorder. For example, the detective could be recording an interrogation when all of a sudden, someone tears down the wall and shoots him. Without the sounds of welding and gunshots, a listener would wonder what happened, even though it'd be very obvious with a tape that can record these noises.

I thinks it's a great idea! It would encourage people to use the audio log during interrogation, adventure, and all other thing!
