Artifact Lab Improvement thread

ISaidNo Wrote:Hm. That's a good idea though I was more going for the fact the artifact is responding to some non-biological living thing touching it. I'll think about it.

It means those artifacts can't be activated if there's no (helpful) Borgs around though. With this you can go to Robotics and holler for an arm (they're usually pretty happy to oblige) for your Artificing needs.

One of the main problems with old ArtLab (which is becoming much better, thanks ISN!) is it's difficult to tell if whether an artifact isn't activating because you're using the wrong amount of a stimulus or if you're simply using the wrong stimulus.

On a related topic, the pitcher/impact pad is still pretty obscure. Can we get an idea of the range of force an artifact can need to activate, and how much force say a 100% power pitcher oxygen tank (the most commonly used item) transmits?

I think it would be super super neat if there was some way that you can get a guardbuddy to activate the robot artifacts. Maybe add some quirky behavior to guardbuddys, they wave and go to the bar, they reciprocate hugs, now let them "curiously prod" certain things that they are near, like mobs, players and, more importantly, artifacts.
