Reason for application:
I want to help at security more, but being captain comes with extra duties (haha), but being a head of security with both allow for the captain to focus more on keeping track of other departments and keeping sec working as a well oiled machine.
that being said, ive also seen some ruthless captains and security guards in my day, executing vampires for having the audacity to exist on the same station as them. so preventing this would be a top priority if i was a HoS, as nobody deserves to have their round as a antag ruined just because a sec guard caught them in the beginning.
Security experience (300 word minimum):
I enjoy playing sec because its fun to protect, investigate, and play the foil to the antag's. I usually try to not punish people too hard if they just have some random contraband because it would ruin their fun and make the round boring for them and what's the point of making this game boring?
as for using the ticket master, security record, and direct combat. I think of myself of fairly robust so hand to hand combat with a antag is by far my favorite moments in security, but the rareness of these events are what make them good so i try not to start fights. I think I'm moderately competent with the ticket master and security records, as both a extremely important part of the security experience and keeping the station up and running. Nothing is more infuriating than late joining as a run of the mill guard and having no clue what's going on due to lack of security records.
But when some sort of antag, like a changeling or vampire, needs a time out in the birg I try and come to a verdict with the other security players. this usually ends in a port-a-brig integration and brig sentence. I have experienced some rounds as a non-sec job where security is thoroughly chaotic and it is maybe as fun as clown that thinks a canister bomb is good prank.
On the flip side I've played rounds against and with a well organized sec force and it they were some of the most enjoyable rounds I've had. If I remember correctly I have encountered, a wizard who was also a clown, a changeling who murdered our captain twice then murdered me, a red and blue clown who were at near constant war with each other, and a vampire botanist who just wanted to grow garlic that he could eat.
would these rounds have been as fun if security just locked all the threats in the brig and left them there? I'd say no, because even a chaotic filled round where evil doers run amuck are better than a boring round where the brig is always full because, at least in my opinion, security's job is to provide protection and a be the foil towards the antag's goal.

- What advice would you give to other sec players?
The most important job you can do is record upkeep and you should do it if there isnt a immediate threat or if no one else is doing it.
- What was one of your favorite security moments? (Either playing as a sec officer or interacting with one)
Encountering and then chasing a changeling throughout the station with the detective, all parties involved died multiple times and when we're cloned the changeling was
- What game improvements or changes do you think would benefit security players?
making some of the U.I and maybe adding some sort of tripwire trap like a snare.
- Describe any differences in your playstyle when part of a full security team and when being the only security officer.
when I'm with other sec officers, the detective or the captain i always keep a eye out for potential threats while they do the investigating. If I'm alone I have to carry out investigations alone so if i encounter a antag i try and subdue them and "escort" them to security or the brig if they are of the violent type.

- What's a security gimmick that you've ran or wanted to run?
i've always wanted to run some sort of wrestler guard with gamma radiation or something similar. body slamming a vampire while throwing holy water around sounds pretty darn fun.Previous bans (while this will not affect your application lying about it will): None!
