Having an NT beret on should make you immune to Rev Flashes

Immune in what way? Immune to the flash effect itself AND conversion, or just immunity to the conversion itself?

I think it would make more sense if those with the loyalist trait took longer to convert. I don't see how a hat would completely disable the effects of a rev flasher.

The hat should just fly off when you're revved, and occasionally slide off your head if you're a rev. It doesn't protect you from betraying your beloved NT any more than your own innate loyalty, it just gets disappointed when you go turncoat.

I like Superlagg's idea. Would add an interesting way to check to see if someone is revved or not.

That and making the conversion process take longer would be nice!

You know what would be nice - how about hacked Quartermaster stations being able to provide NT berets in addition to the idea omitted.

The space diner merchant already sells NT berets, which I think is an appropriate location for it balance wise.
