I am one of maybe 6 people that has encountered this problem, probably, but I've made enough characters that I'm actually running out of space between both the servers and the cloud saves - 5 more slots would probably be enough.

This sounds fine. I think that 10 slots sounds like a good number. Last I heard, the choice of 3 and then later 5 slots was mostly arbitrary and not about any technical limitation. The worst thing about this change will be that I'll have to change the html menu to add more.
