Ever had one of your legs blown off and wished you could prop yourself up with some rods or a mop so you could hobble to medbay before you bleed out? Be pretty neat if you could do that! Like, if you had a long, crutchlike object in your hand on the side of your missing leg, you could negate some of that crippling slowness and be handicapable for once! Maybe even use two crutches for some extra speed or if both of your legs are missing, though on that case you'll have a chance to fall over and toss your crutches out of reach.

I thought the crutch needed to be held opposite of the 'bad' leg, so that the body primarily rest on the good leg, with the crutch for balance. Or is that the rule for canes?
But YES, crutches is a good idea!

Jamming a rod into your stump sounds like a very ss13 way of dealing with missing limbs and lack of supplies.
Good amount bleed/brute on insertion, regular walking speed, occasional brute damage/light bleeding. For fun you could throw tetanus in there somewhere.

That hurts just thinking about it. Then again, this game has shown that spessmen likely can't feel pain, only simulate it.
Then again, bones in the leg likely screw with jamming rods into severed stumps.
