since about forever, if you borg someone who's not in their body and is instead flying around as a ghost, it refuses to work, and you get a braindead borg

this really puts a huge damper on a roboticist's round very often. i know there have been attempts to look at it because i've had pms before asking about specifics when someone came up braindead in a borg suit and adminhelped it. it may just be a hard problem to fix. who knows?

I've just been burned by this myself. I got killed, likely accidentally, by the chef. He must have felt bad and so he borged me, creating a named borg with my brain, but I wasn't able to actually control the borg. Tried re-enter corpse, but it made no difference.
