I think it's an accepted thing that when bodies are being cremated sometimes the air rushes out of the lungs and makes a "high-pitched whistling noise." Since that's caused by the expansion of the gas inside due to the heat, I suppose the same principle might apply to a deep fryer like the one on the station.
But it's probably a bug anyways.
