I really hope this isn't one of those "It's only you" bugs, because it annoyed the shit out of me when I was trying to rearrange sec to be a uber-base.
If you try and place a table without moving in time, you get stuck "in" the table. You can't move, you can't speak, you can't point, in-fact the only thing you can do is hit yourself.
Reconnecting helps as you can then move off the table, but by the time I finished my long desk, I reconnected about 5 times.
