
This is just something i've had in my head for a while and i honestly haven't really seen any discussion about it (i probably just missed it).
Essentially i would like it for cog 1 to switch back to TEG only because i feel like it's the engine that "fits" the map the most.
For the singularity it's because the map has very little room to have it be customized in the engine room. You have to break down various walls and windows just to do a max size field for the singulo. Having to break down a room to make a setup that's honestly not that crazy makes it seem like a poor fit.
For the nuclear generator it's mostly about the presence of the burn chamber. While i do think that the chamber is interesting for the possibility of making the turbine spin without the engine i also think it's not something engineering should get for free for a reactor (especially now that burn chambers can be built with constructible atmos).
That's pretty much all my reasons, i will concede that these two types of reactors are very funny when they go awry on cog because they will annhilate medbay.
