Was thinking maybe a targeting indicator like that on the taser SMG or something. 

I also figured this would let you do a lot cooler interactions and allow more interesting and creative dueling options both against people and woth static things like emitters or AI turret stand offs.

I have zero coding knowledge and no idea if this would be hard to do but it sounds very cool. I can also see alot of gimmicks pop up from it, like an engineer traitor rigging up some emitters so they can bat emitter beams at the crew while laughing like an evil god.
