Make Journalist a Permanent Job
#1
Dancing on the grave of our much-loved influencers, I make the case for journalist to be a permanent job, or at least not one entirely dependent on RNG to show up.

Having someone to work alongside the radio host would be cool- or against- and there's an office specifically for journalists in the radio station now. There's also the grossly underused mechanics of newspapers and the printing press as well as some of the detective's equipment- it's a dynamic role, could be played in many different ways by different people, and it's RP-heavy, similarly to bartender. I'd like to see more of that.

1. "But who will changelings eat now?"
The radio host still. Journalists will probably spend most of their time on the station, because that's where the action is.

2. "But influencer sucked"
Journalist doesn't really lend itself to the same jokes. Sorry, chat.

I can't think of any other objections, but I'm sure there will be some- but honestly I'd love to see journalists and newspapers floating around more often.

I've had a lot of good interactions with journalists lately across multiple rounds. Be it clever and funny newspaper prints, reporting "on scene" as if there was a camera or not, or being interviewed with an audio tape and later hearing it broadcasted on the radio. I don't recall ever seeing a journalist negatively impact a round, never the same dread as seeing an influencer. Additionally, information flowing poorly from department to department has been a complaint for some time now, so encouraging more people to play journalist could actually be useful! (not that it has to be useful, i just think it'd be fun :P)

The RP potential for journalists is massive, so I‘m a fan of making it a permanent job. Starting a tabloid drama magazine, being an on-scene reporter interviewing the TTV-armed scientist, and those are just ideas off the top of my head. It‘s a fun role.

Sounds good, it's a fun job with the ability to add a lot of nice flavor to rp as well as fit into the vast majority of rounds, also gets radio hosts someone to work with.

As someone who mained journalist for a while on classic, I am completely unbiased in supporting this (I lied I'm actually very biased in supporting this)

I have only had good interactions with people playing as journalists, whether its trying to sell newspapers, asking if they can interview about an ongoing case, or writing mini-reviews about the station I have found the presence of a journalist only adds layers to the round, especially in RP 3 & 4.

I support it. Would scratch my itch of thinking there should be a second detective, since you could play as an investigative journalist
