Midi keyboard to in-game instrument
#1
Hi. I want to somehow use my midi keyboard to play the instruments in-game. I've already tried using software like MidiKeys2Keys, but there was an issue. When I released a midi key, it would treat this action as-if I pressed down on the key, resulting in the character being inputted twice. I also noticed that binding each midi key to each keyboard key was extremely slow. I hope that this is somewhat legible, I am not very eloquent.
Thanks.

Heya, I'm very unfamiliar with programs that directly input from a midi keyboard to a keyboard input. I do have a bit of limited experience transferring a virtual keyboard into keyboard input using MIRP/Loopmidi and a midi playing program (we have a basic guide here) is it anything like that? It looks very similar from a brief look at midikeys2keys. Maybe there's a way to take what's being output by the keyboard into MIRP instead, or as part of the chain?

However, I'm definitely not an expert, I just didn't want to leave you hanging either. Hope it gets worked out!

It worked. I decided to just use MIRP, because I wanted to do the playing myself. Thanks for the help.
Also, when was this page updated to include this guide? I remember viewing this page, and the guide not being there.

Some time around autumn last year, I begged Kot to transcribe their discord guide to the wiki as it became a bit of a regular question.

Glad you got it up and running!

And it was around that time... wiki got blocked for some reason.

But I never made a discord guide?? Do you mean stuff like Joy2Key?
