Meson scanners and floor lighting.

Before the lighting update mesons would show the floors outside your line of sight with proper lighting, now they show floors at the brightest level with no colored overlays.

It was very useful to notice fires, and work around the engine. And occasionally allowed you to see people from behind walls, when they added light to their surroundings.

Not only is the Meson now less useful, it's also very jarring to walk into a dark room and have the area around you dark but the rest of the room bright. I don't wear Mesons anymore for this reason.

Out of everything I've ever used in anything I've ever done, Mesons are the most disorienting. They fuck up my sense of perception, I absolutely despise wearing them.

But uh, yeah, Mesons aren't the same anymore and all that jive.
