A lot of things that take time don't use progress bars. Some things DO show you a progress bar, however, for example when you deploy mechanic frames and I think spy thief stealing also shows a progress bar.
However, a lot of other things DON'T show a progress bar. Ideally, every time-consuming action should show a progress bar, or at least the ones that you would logically be able to tell the progress on.
Some things actually have barely any feedback - like deconstructing consoles. As far as I am aware, the only thing they do is make sound and give you a message *after* you use the correct tool on them.
Here are the things that, in my opinion, should require progress bars or further action progress feedback, but don't have such (from my memory) Feel free to add:

- RCD construction/deconstruction
- Adding plating to girders
- Deconstructing consoles
- Blob absorption
- Zombie brain eating ( Maybe not a progress bar, but some sound to indicate that the zombie is eating your brains )
- Wall deconstruction
- Many more things, its just that I dont remember themĀ
