Traitor Item Idea- Mechanical Cloaker - OMJ - 05-24-2013 Essentially a cloaker that leaves you visible to everyone except AIs and cyborgs. Combined with a signal jammer, this could be really cool. You shouldn't be able to activate a regular cloaker with this item though. Would be nice to have, especially if it hides you from turrets and Guardbuddies and such. I think I've seen it suggested before though. I like the idea, but I wouldn't take it as far as turrets. Maybe Guardbuddies OR Securitrons, but not both. (Of the two, I'd suggest Securitrons, since they are easier to mass-produce.) Turrets are basically the only line of defense an AI has, and it's already easy to bypass them if you know what you're doing, so I think it's probably a bit much. If anything, I would think that the electromagnetic energies produced by a laser gun or a taser shot would cause your cloak to flicker briefly. Y'know, you know that there's a cloaker around, but they can just stop shooting and run the hell off if they get mobbed! |
