Changing up miscreants - Vitatroll - 11-29-2017 Honestly? Let's just ditch impotent miscreants. Redo miscreants and make them toothless traitors that can griff but not kill. Maybe give them an objective related tool or something. In order to keep it from being frustrating, something as simple as a handcuffing or a flashing could de-miscreant them. As they are, miscreant objectives are just gameplay suggestions. There's nothing stopping you from doing them as a non-miscreant, and no reason to do them as a miscreant. Add them to all round types Gangs now share miscreant like goals running parallel to the round. Do they help or hinder the antags/crew, do they work on their goals, or just fuck around? Maybe you can't join them and just start as part of one, or it's capped to a small number at start when it's not actually Gang Mode. It'd have to be pretty clear that gang on gang violence is all yer allowed to do. Granted it went off kilter when I started suggesting things. -- The idea of the thread was to gather ideas about making miscreants useful. That and an autistic grump-fest about miscreants never being actual miscreants. Miscreants have no raison d'etre. My view is that we either give them bite, change what they are ('gimmick challenges' instead of 'miscreants'), or get rid of them completely.
