Someone dropped a fried monkey on the escape shuttle. I ate it with Matter Eater and the monkey's un-fried body appeared in its place. Huh?

Sounds like you're eating the Deep Fry as a container rather than as a food, and this should be a feature because

Yeah, that's what I assume happened. I heard you can dissolve the outer shell with acid somehow too and get the original item back, but I haven't tried it.

Does anyone know what happens if you matter-eater, say, a backpack ?
That should give a clue as to whether it's a deep-fry bug or just container code being R O B U S T
